During the visit to the Innovation Center, Ashok Kumar got acquainted with the history of creation and activities of the Innovation Center for Support of Development and Implementation of Information Technologies Mirzo Ulugbek Innovation Center.
The staff of the center informed the guest that the Innovation Center was created to develop the ICT sector and increase its share in the GDP of Uzbekistan, as well as provided detailed information on benefits and preferences, provided to residents of the Mirzo Ulugbek Innovation Center.
It was noted that by 2021 the number of residents of Mirzo Ulugbek Innovation Center is expected to exceed 600 legal entities and the volume of their exports will make up over US$30 million. As a result, the share of ICT in Uzbekistan’s GDP will reach 4%.
In turn, Ashok Kumar underlined that he worked as a manager in many projects and often observed that the initiators of the projects set wrong goals. He added that the Mirzo Ulugbek Innovation Center has precisely set its goals and this will allow achieving results.
