Diplomats from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan hold negotiations
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan Boribay Jeksembinov visited to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan on 26 May 2011.
The Uzbek Foreign Ministry said that the sides exchanged opinion on actual issues of the Uzbek-Kazakh cooperation, as well as interaction within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
According to the Uzbek State Statistics Committee, Kazakhstan was the second largest trade partner of Uzbekistan in the first quarter of 2011 with the share of 9.6%.
Trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan grew 2.34 times year-on-year in the first quarter of 2011 to US$547.1 million.
