Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Dilshod Akhmedov has been appointed as the General Director of the Uzbek Metallurgical Plant (Uzmetkombinat).
The announcement of his appointment was made during an off-site meeting chaired by Prime Minister and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the enterprise, Abdulla Aripov.
The previous head, Rashid Pirmatov, who has led the plant since 2021, is retiring. The changes in leadership are expected to be approved by the Supervisory Board and the shareholders’ meeting in the near future.
Akhmedov has served as the First Deputy Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of Uzmetkombinat since January 2021. In January 2024, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade, where he was responsible for overseeing the development of this metallurgical enterprise among other tasks.
