Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Digital Trust Development Foundation received 100% state share in the authorized capital of Universal Mobile Systems (UMS).
The state share in UMS is handed over for free to the Fund in accordance with the resolution of the President of Uzbekistan dated 21 November 2018.
The decision is aimed at creating conditions for accelerated development of the digital economy, further improvement of the public administration system, increasing its accessibility and the use of modern infrastructure.
The head of Uzbekistan ordered to the National Project Management Agency (NAPU) under the President and the Digital Trust Foundation to develop and approve the UMS Development Concept for 2019–2021.
The concept should include measures for mobilization of internal forces and facilities, modernization and technological re-equipment of telecommunications equipment.
The document noted that all government services will be provided exclusively through the operator’s data processing centers.
The mobile operator has the right to directly access international telecommunications networks (data and voice networks), including using IP-telephony only for their own commercial needs, without the right to provide services to other operators and providers in organizing international channels of voice telephony and Internet traffic.
