Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 30 August 2022, the fifth annual IP GALA forum started in Tashkent, bringing together representatives of technology companies, telecom operators, industry experts, partners in the ICT ecosystem and representatives of Huawei to discuss innovative achievements in the field of intelligent IP networks and digital transformation in general.

Given the increased interest in introducing innovative solutions and strengthening the ICT infrastructure of Uzbekistan, Huawei shares its expert experience with participants and players in the region’s IT market on an ongoing basis. The annual IP GALA Eurasian Forum was organized this year in Tashkent and became a successful platform for communication between ICT industry professionals.

The main topics of discussion of the forum were: transport networks in the 5G era, the development of IP networks, features of interconnection with operator data processing centers, automation of network management using artificial intelligence.

“The digital economy contributes to the acceleration of the development of all sectors of the state. High-performance networks help maximize the value of cloud solutions in digitalization processes. For example, SRv6 technology increases the speed of access to the cloud, the organization’s multiplicity of access to several clouds helps to separate services within a single infrastructure network, and as a result, it can significantly accelerate the digitalization of many industries,” said Zhao Lei, President of Huawei Eurasia Operator Division.

During the forum, the participants discussed trends in the development of IP networks, challenges and solutions for automating data transfer processes, shared their experience in implementing and operating transport solutions, using the SRv6 (Segment Routing v6) Slicing protocol. Questions were also raised about the innovation strategy through examples of the use of the NCE solution.

As part of the event, a panel discussion was held with the participation of representatives of telecom operators and international analytical agencies. The speakers identified the most priority areas for the development of transport networks. We discussed emerging difficulties, issues and further steps in the development of IP services for telecom operators that arise at the regulatory level. We analyzed the main challenges, trends and proposals for the development of IP services of operators based on the modernization of the data transmission network.
