Representatives of the Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information, Uzbektelecom, internet-providers of Uzbekistan participated at the event. The meeting discussed current state of affairs in providing internet services.

The participants considered issues of providing access to internet and related services. It was noted that Uzbektelecom decreased prices for international Internet channel for ISPs by 13% in 2012. In last two years, the prices for international Internet channel for ISPs decreased over three times.

They also discussed issues on interaction of ISPs of Uzbekistan with Uzbektelecom, providing external internet access to international channels. In this connection, the recommendations and wishes were given for further improving service quality, allocation of reserved channels, improving price policy.

During the meeting, it was noted that fiber-optic line development gave additional impulse for development and improvement of internet services in Uzbekistan.
