The Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade of Uzbekistan said that about 100 representatives of local businesses participated at the workshop.
The presidential resolution said that the complex system of benefits and preferences were created in Uzbekistan to stimulate exports of local goods and support local exporters in conditions of global financial-economic crisis. In the result, the exports volume rose y 1.67 times in five years and share of ready products in total exports volume reached 68.5%.
But, there are some enterprises in several industries, which do not produce export oriented products, which is due to lack of initiatives from management, non-existence of modernization plans and improvement of quality of products, their standardization, etc.
It is expected that the presidential resolution will help to expand volume and number of export items, stimulate enterprises to produce export-oriented and competitive goods.
During the seminar, participants received information on tax benefits and preferences for exports, customs preferences, introduction of quality management system, etc. Participants also familiarized with the website exporter.uz and activities of the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade of Uzbekistan.
