Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 14 October, a delegation of the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan, led by the executive director of Gayane Umarova, held a number of meetings with the Deputy General Director of the International Trade Trading Center Junctad/WTO Dorothy Tembo and with the director of the department International trade and raw materials of the Junctad Teresa Seaira in Geneva.

During the meetings, a number of issues were discussed on the development of the creative industry in Uzbekistan, in particular, the creation of a roadmap in the creative industry, the development of artisanism in the country through the training and development of creative and trade skills among masters, as well as the exit of Uzbek artisans to international markets through cooperation from famous brands.

An emphasis was placed on the creation of special accelerators and business incubators for artisans at the art response sites of the Fund in Tashkent. Moreover, the meeting raised issues of creating conditions for people with disabilities in artisanship. A partnership agreement was reached in preparation for the IV World Conference on a creative economy, which will be held in Uzbekistan in 2024.
