Deutsche Kabel AG Tashkent to invest US$17m for modernization
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deutsche Kabel AG Tashkent, an Uzbek-Germany joint venture on production of cables, will invest US$17 million to modernization of its capacities in 2009-2012.

The venture plans to implement ten projects within four years, directed to development of new cables and launch of their serial production.

The joint venture plans to organize production of common radio-frequency cables on the base of ordinary polyethylene (RG-6 type), firm drawn tyres, production of 12-14mm steel wire, etc.

Deutsche Kabel AG Tashkent will finance these projects due to own resources.

Deutsche Kabel AG Tashkent was founded in 1999 on the base of Elektrosignal, which developed and introduced to production special cable-wire products. Falk-Porsche-Technik GmbH holds 95.6% shares in the venture.

Currently, three enterprises on production of cable products operate in Uzbekistan. They are Deutsche Kabel AG Tashkent, Uzkabel and Andijankabel.
