Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The deputy head of the internal affairs department of Kungrad district of Karakalpakstan was detained while accepting a bribe.

According to the press service of the Council of Ministers of Karakalpakstan, the official was detained while receiving an iPhone 15 Pro Max phone from a citizen.

According to the report, the citizen appealed to the State Security Service for Karakalpakstan with a request to bring the official to justice.

According to him, the head of public security threatened to reveal secret information about him and prosecute him if he did not receive the requested phone number.

Currently, a criminal case has been opened and an investigation is underway.
