Deputy Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan discuss strategic partnership development
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 28 February, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bobur Usmanov held a video conference with his Turkmen counterpart Akhmet Gurbanov.
During the talks, the parties reviewed the current state and future prospects of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, as well as the implementation of agreements reached during previous high-level visits. They also exchanged views on pressing regional and international issues.
Both sides emphasized that the trusted, constructive, and friendly dialogue at the highest level serves as a strong impetus for expanding multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
Special attention was given to shaping a new, large-scale agenda for Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan cooperation, the thorough preparation of upcoming high-level visits, and the organization of the Consultative Meeting of Central Asian Leaders and summits in the "Central Asia Plus" format.
