Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 28 April 2023, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhromjon Aloyev met with the delegation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, headed by the Director of the Department for Asian Countries, Ahmad Sarir, who arrived in our country to observe upcoming Referendum.

The OIC delegation highly appreciated the importance of the upcoming political event for the development of Uzbekistan, emphasizing the high level preparation for this event.

It was noted that in recent years thanks to intensive contacts and exchanges the interaction of Uzbekistan with the OIC has risen to a qualitatively new level. 

The parties discussed proposals for further intensifying cooperation between Uzbekistan and OIC in the fields of education, science and innovation, ecology, and other priority areas.
