Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 4 January 2024, Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Rakhmatulla Nurimbetov held a phone conversation with the Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Zhang Ming.

The parties discussed the state and prospects of multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and the SCO, and the intensification of the activities of the Organization’s mechanisms in charge of the development of trade and economic relations.

The sides exchanged views on certain issues of the regional agenda, improving the activities of the SCO and increasing its authority in the international arena.
