Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 26 April 2023, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Gayrat Fozilov held talks with the UN Under-Secretary-General, Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Olga Algayerova, who arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in the second Tashkent International Investment Forum.

The parties discussed current state and prospects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UNECE, which has been actively developing and expanding in recent years.

The sides considered the issues of strengthening ties in such areas as the introduction of sustainable and energy-saving technologies, international trade, transport and logistics were.

They also exchanged views on the implementation of joint projects on the green agenda, in particular on the development of solar and wind energy in Uzbekistan.

The sides expressed mutual readiness for further close cooperation on all issues included in the key areas of UNECE activity.
