Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation led by Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Technical Assistance Policy William Macdonald will visit Uzbekistan from 11 to 17 June 2019.

Earlier, during the meeting of Deputy Prime Minister Elyor Ganiev in the US Treasury in April of this year, the US side praised the dynamics of transformations affecting almost all socio-economic aspects and expressed readiness to support efforts to further promote economic reforms in Uzbekistan.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, William Macdonald intends to discuss the prospects of attracting highly qualified consultants of the US Treasury on improving fiscal policy, public debt management and investment management systems, improving the budget process, strengthening the banking sector, and countering economic crimes in the visit to Uzbekistan.

Also, according to the diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan in the United States, meetings are scheduled at the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, the State Tax Committee, the Central Bank, the Agency for the Development of the Capital Market, and the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
