Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan has passed in its second reading a draft law aimed at strengthening consumer protection against counterfeit products and improving the digital labeling system.

The document grants entrepreneurs the right to reduce the amount of accrued profit tax, turnover tax, and individual entrepreneurs’ income tax.

Additionally, the sale of beer products has been included in the list of activities requiring only notification of the relevant authorities. The bill also clarifies regulations allowing individual entrepreneurs to engage in the retail trade of tobacco products.

The adoption of this law will ensure more effective application of tax incentives, enhance digital labeling, and improve consumer protection against counterfeit goods.
