In final of Istanbul Challenger, Denis Istomin defeated Germany’s Philipp Kohlschreiber in straight sets - 7/6(6) and 6/4.

The match lasted an hour and 31 minutes. The tennis players did not make mistakes in their serves as Denis Istomin recorded the only break point in the second set, while German failed to convert break point in the middle of the first set.

Istomin recorded one ace, while Kohlschreiber hit five aces. Both players made one double faults.

Denis Istomin and Philipp Kohlschreiber faced once before this match in 2011. Istomin defeated Philipp Kohlschreiber in the first round of Wimbledon.

This is third Challenger title of Denis Istomin this year. He won Samarkand Challenger and Qarshi Challenger in August 2011.
