Denis Istomin qualifies to quarterfinal of АТР Sydney

The second round matches of the АТР Apia International Sydney with the prize money of US$434,250 were held on Wednesday, 11 January 2012.
Uzbekistan number one Denis Istomin qualified to quarterfinals of the tournament, which defeated Ryan Sweeting of the USA in straight sets – 6/2 and 6/1.
In the quarterfinals, Istomin will face Richard Gasquet of France, who outplayed Fabio Fognini of Italia with the same scoreline – 6/2 and 6/1.
