Denis Istomin advances to second round of Rome Masters

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan number one Denis Istomin advanced to the second round of Internazionali BNL d’Italia in Italy.

In the first round, Denis Istomin defeated John Isner of the United States in three sets – 7/5, 6/7(5), 3/6.

The match lasted 2 hours and 10 minutes. Denis Istomin served eight aces and made three double faults compared to 10 aces and one double fault of Isner.

In the second round, Denis Istomin will face Tomas Berdyh from the Czech Republic, who is sixth seeded in the tournament.
