Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Representatives of Uzbekistan’s textile industry participated in the Better Cotton Conference 2024, held in Türkiye.
The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) is the world’s largest program established in 2005 as an international association to support and promote sustainable cotton production.
Currently, this program operates in 26 countries, including Uzbekistan, supporting over 2.5 million farmers worldwide.
The BCI represents a platform that unites more than 2,500 members, including around 330 brands and textile product manufacturers. Among these are renowned companies such as IKEA, H&M, Inditex, GAP, Nike, and Levi Strauss & Co.
Now, Uzbek producers have also become full members of the digital platform "Better Cotton." This membership allows them to track the cotton supply chain globally.
