The meeting was held within the framework of participation in the international tourist exhibition Travel Turkey Izmir 2017.

It was mentioned, in 1996 the Memorandum of Cooperation was concluded between the Chamber of Commerce of Izmir and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tashkent, which was not implemented in full. In this regard, the Turkish side was invited to continue cooperation within the framework of this memorandum.

In particular, the Chamber of Commerce of Izmir was asked to consider the issue of the implementation of the project for manufacture of wedding dresses in Uzbekistan, taking into account the great demand for imports of this product in our country.

In addition, the proposals of the Turkish side for construction of mini-power stations in Uzbekistan were discussed.

Following the meeting, the head of the Izmir Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Ekrem Demirtas, was invited to organize a working visit to Uzbekistan for Turkish investors in order to study and familiarize investment opportunities for construction of hotels, water parks, and entertainment centers for tourists, as well as the tourist potential of Uzbekistan.
