According to the Uzbek Foreign Ministry, the meeting was held on the sidelines of the autumn meeting of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in Washington (USA).

The sides exchanged views on the priorities for further development of bilateral cooperation.

The parties also discussed key areas for expanding partnerships and implementing promising projects in such areas as modernization of energy, irrigation and municipal sectors of Uzbekistan, development of transport and social infrastructure, and processing of agricultural products.

It was noted that recently adopted measures in Uzbekistan to ensure accelerated development of small business, improve the banking and financial system, and create a favourable business environment and investment climate will contribute to development of businesses in Uzbekistan.
