The meetings were held within implementation of the joint action plan between the UzAC and Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies of India, which was signed on 13 October 2011.
Overall, 18 meetings with 16 Indian companies were held within the visit. Among these companies are Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro Limited, Infosys Technologies Ltd., Mahindra Satyam, HCL Technologies Ltd., Technosys Embedded Systems Pvt. Ltd., Intellisense Technology, SBL BPO Services Ltd., L&T Infotech Ltd., Hexawara Technologies Ltd., InfrasoftTech, Luna Ergonomics Pvt Ltd, Bapna Tech Private Limited, Genpact Ltd., Kochar, ECS Infotech Pvt.Ltd.
UzACI said that the sides exchanged information on state of ICT market in Uzbekistan and opportunities for Indian companies. The presentations of current state of software market of Uzbekistan and activities of Indian companies were held.
The sides exchanged opinions on perspective directions of cooperation in joint development and production of software, introduction of Indian technologies and innovations at implementation of projects on developing and introducing software, export of software to abroad, including CIS states.
At the end of negotiations, Indian companies expressed wish to consider creation of joint ventures and inform the Uzbek side on their decision.
