Delegation of Turkey pays visit to Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Representatives of the Uzbek-Turkish Business Council under the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) of Turkey visited Uzbekistan at the end of July.

The visit is evidence for high interest of Turkish business circles and official bodies in developing relations between Uzbekistan and Turkey.

According to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Turkey grew from US$206.5 million in the first quarter of 2010 to US$310.1 million in the same perid of 2011.

Exports of Uzbekistan to Turkey rose from US4157.4 million to US$248.6 million, while imports – from US$49.4 million to US$61.5 million in the reporting period.
