The parties discussed practical measures aimed at sharing experience in the field of training guides, who provide services to Japanese tourists, branding tourism products of Uzbekistan in the Japanese tourism market, attracting Japanese TV channels to promote the tourist potential of the republic.
During the meeting, the members of the Uzbek delegation informed the Japanese partners about the measures taken by the Government of Uzbekistan in the field of tourism, the press service of the State Committee for Tourism said.
As a result of negotiations, the parties agreed to increase number of charter flights in 2018 at least twice from 10 flights in 2017, mutual participation of tour operators in the annual fairs held in April and October in Uzbekistan, and in September - in Japan.
At the end of the meeting, the JATA leadership expressed its readiness to provide all necessary support to the initiatives of the Uzbek side to form a stable demand for tourism products of Uzbekistan as a country with a rich historical and cultural heritage and beautiful natural resources among Japanese tourists.
