Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chairman of the Transport Committee of St. Petersburg Valentin Enokayev and Vice-Governor Kirill Polyakov held a meeting with the khokim of Samarkand region Erkinjon Turdimov, where they discussed potential areas of cooperation in the field of transport.

According to the press service of the St. Petersburg committee, the official delegation of the government of the Northern capital arrived in Uzbekistan on a working visit.

There are plans to discuss prospects for international cooperation in such areas as industry, transport, trade, healthcare, tourism, culture and sports.

To begin mutually beneficial relations, the authorities intend to create a joint working group of St. Petersburg and Samarkand region.
