Delegation of Pakistan to visit Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of Pakistan led by Javed Anvar Khan from Department on Development of Trade of Pakistan, representing pharmaceutical and ready clothes sector, will visit Uzbekistan on 18-24 May 2012, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan said.

The visit is aimed at developing trade-economic cooperation between the Uzbekistani and Pakistani business circles, establishing direct business contacts with the Uzbek entrepreuners, discussing perspectives of bilateral cooperation.

According to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, trade turnover between two states made up US$23.1 million in 2011 against US$40.13 million in 2010. Exports of Uzbekistan exceeded US$9.2 million (US$30.4 million in 2010) and imports from Pakistan – US$13.9 million (US$9.7 million).
