During the visit, Hiromi Tagawa held negotiations with the chairperson of Uzbektourism. The Japanese delegation also held meetings with the tour operators of Uzbekistan.

Uzbektourism noted that the visit will help to stimulate further deepening of relations between two nations in tourism sector and increase tourists inflow between Uzbekistan and Japan.

On 24 October, the Japanese delegation visited Samarkand to familiarize with tourism potential of the ancient city.
