Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade, Economic Attractiveness and French Citizens Abroad under Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Olivier Besht will visit Uzbekistan on 4-6 May.

According to the French Embassy in Uzbekistan, the minister-delegate will be accompanied by about twenty entrepreneurs.

The visit to Uzbekistan follows the meeting between the President of the Republic and the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held in Paris at the end of November last year.

The Minister Delegate will meet with his Uzbek counterparts to discuss the implementation of some thirty economic agreements signed during President Mirziyoyev’s visit to France, in particular in the areas of renewable energy, utilities and tourism. While Uzbekistan wishes to strengthen cooperation with European states, Mr. Olivier Besht will encourage French companies, in particular small and medium-sized enterprises, to develop partnerships in this country.
