Delegation of Department of Public Security of China visits Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation from the Department of Public Security of the Autonomous Region of Inner Mongolia (PRC) arrived in Tashkent on 14 August.

The delegation led by the Deputy Chief of the Department Chen Yingze held talks with the Deputy Chief of the Main Interior Affairs Directorate of Tashkent Colonel Mr Tashkhodzhaev.

After exchanging greetings, the sides stressed that the fruitful cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the People’s Republic of China covers almost all areas. These ties are gaining momentum within the framework of the concept of "One Belt, One Road", implemented on the initiative of the PRC. Mutually beneficial relations are also developing in matters of ensuring public security and establishing cooperation in the fight against crime.

During the talks, representatives of law enforcement agencies of the two friendly countries discussed a wide range of issues related to combating crime. Thus, an interested exchange of experience took place during the discussion of measures to counter international terrorism and illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs.

The importance of timely exchange of information was emphasized, which facilitates the prompt response to unlawful acts. It was noted that there are all prerequisites for further strengthening cooperation in combating criminal manifestations, threats and challenges to the tranquility of the peoples of the two countries.

According to Chen Yingze, deputy head of the Department of Public Security of the Autonomous Region of Inner Mongolia (PRC), the establishment of friendly and equal relations between our countries allows us to cooperate and achieve success in many areas. Uzbekistan is one of the safest and peaceful countries and has extensive experience in strengthening public order and tranquility. We know what impressive successes Tashkent has achieved in this regard. Therefore, we plan to regularly visit the capital of Uzbekistan, expand the range of bilateral mutually beneficial relations and exchange of experience.

During the meeting, the sides also discussed other areas of cooperation, including training of employees, prevention of offenses, especially among youth and minors.

Within the visit, members of the delegation will get acquainted with the work of the Department of Computerized Traffic Safety Management System of the Department of Traffic Safety, the Center for Social and Legal Assistance to Minors and the Department of Internal Affairs of one of the Internal Affairs Department of the Tashkent Central Internal Affairs Directorate.
