Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The founder of the American company CalCity Industrial Park, Stepan Kyrkchu, leading the delegation, visited Bukhara along with the Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Halimjon Safarov. During the visit, a meeting was held with the khokim of the Bukhara region, Botir Zaripov.
During the discussion, it was noted that in recent years, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian, and socio-political relations between Uzbekistan and the United States have reached a new level, thanks to the creation of a favorable investment environment in Uzbekistan, which has led to an increase in the number of foreign entrepreneurs wishing to invest in the country.
"The active foreign policy of Uzbekistan and favorable business conditions have led our company to implement bilateral projects in your country. For example, we are carrying out a project in the Konlikul district of Karakalpakstan worth US$90 million. This project, with a capacity of 6,200 tons, will be launched by the end of 2027, creating 500 jobs and generating 19 billion soums for the budget," Stepan Kyrkchu noted during the discussion.
Khokim Botir Zaripov emphasized that all foreign partners, including CalCity Industrial Park, will receive comprehensive support for the implementation of their projects in the region. He also called for practical assistance in attracting this major company for new projects in industries such as textiles, construction, solar panel production, and for operations in free economic zones. In his speech, he highlighted the importance of the benefits and opportunities provided to investors.
At the conclusion of the meeting, agreements were reached on the prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation and the measures that need to be taken to implement these plans.
