Delegation from Russia: the food market of Uzbekistan is very interesting for us

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation from Russia is visiting Uzbekistan. It includes Deputy Governor of Chelyabinsk Region Sergey Sushkov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Chelyabinsk Region Inna Podshivalova, Vice President of the South Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergey Ermakov, as well as heads of a number of companies involved, in particular, in the production, sale of food products, and logistics.

Yesterday the guests visited AGRO PRODEX GROUP LLC, located in Bektemir district of the capital. This is the management company of the GDF agricultural holding, which includes three enterprises. Their main activity is the production of dried vegetables and frozen products. In addition, they are engaged in orchards, growing vegetables, both in open and closed ground.

“The SITNO company employs 7,000 people. We are engaged in the manufacture of such food products as flour, pasta, bread, confectionery, dairy products, poultry meat, hatching and commercial eggs. One of our goals is to find partners here and enter the local market. Having visited this enterprise, we also wanted to see what additional products could be brought to Russia. We have our own network, which provides consumers with vegetables and fruits. And given that Russia does not fully provide itself with some food products, the market and goods that are produced in Uzbekistan are very interesting for us. As for logistics, the Chelyabinsk region borders on Kazakhstan, and this is very convenient in terms of movement,” said Pavel Juravsky, General Director of SITNO (Russia).

The members of the delegation were told in detail about the activities of the enterprise, including familiarization with the workshop for the production of dried vegetables and herbs. It is equipped with modern equipment from leading manufacturers in China, Turkey, Germany and Belgium. It was noted that the enterprises of the agricultural holding are pioneers in the cultivation of such non-traditional crops for our region as broccoli, arugula, lettuce and others.

There was also a presentation of the company, during which its representatives answered all the questions of interest to the guests regarding the range, cost of products, logistics capabilities and much more.
