Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Presidential resolution on measures to further improve the infrastructure of the digital economy and the Electronic Government system was adopted.
According to the resolution, the state share in the authorized capital of UZINFOCOM LLC will be increased to 51 percent.
At the same time, the state’s share in the authorized capital of UZINFOCOM LLC will be transferred to the authorized capital of Universal Mobile System LLC (UMS).
Decisions on the creation and implementation of interdepartmental and departmental information systems, databases, software products within the framework of e-government and the digital economy are made taking into account the mandatory indication of funding sources.
UMS is granted the right to carry out the coordination of technical tasks in the conduct of procurement in the field of information and communication technologies only in the state unitary enterprise “Center for managing e-government projects and the digital economy”.
Government agencies are prohibited from organizing and building their own data processing centers as part of the development of the e-Government system.
Until 1 January 2022, the UMS is exempt from customs payments for goods imported for the implementation of the tasks assigned to it.
Land plots for the construction of telecommunications facilities are provided by UMS without an auction.
