Davis Cup: Uzbekistan to start new campaign from second round

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A draw ceremony of Davis Cup for new 2014 season was held in London on Wednesday, 18 September 2013.

Uzbekistan tennis team, which holds 21st place in the Davis Cup ranking, was top seeded in the Asia/Oceania zone.

In the result, Uzbekistan will start new Davis Cup season from the second round of the Group I of the Asia/Oceania zone. Uzbekistan will face winner of the tie between New Zealand and China.

The first round matches will be held from 31 January to 4 February 2014 and the second round – 4-6 April 2014.
