Davis Cup: Uzbekistan retains place in Group 1

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan national team on tennis retained its place in the Group I of the Asia/Oceania zone of Davis Cup after the team claimed victory in pair match against South Korea.

On Saturday, Uzbek pair Denis Istomin and Miurad Inoyatov faced Kyu-Tae Im and Hyun-Joon Kim of South Africa.

As in previous day, representative of Uzbekistan lost the first set – 5:7, but the Uzbek pair won next three sets – 6:3, 6:3 and 6:3.

On Sunday, Uzbekistan and South Korea will play two single matches, but their results will not affect outcome of tie.
