DataVolt advances Uzbekistan’s digital infrastructure

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan and IT Park have signed a strategic agreement with DataVolt to develop a modern, sustainable data center.

This partnership aims to establish a Tier 3+ data center with an IT load of 10 MW that will operate on renewable energy sources and be integrated with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) to ensure uninterrupted operation on green energy.

The data center will source energy from renewable sources connected to the grid and will feature an integrated energy storage system to store renewable energy throughout the day. This will enable continuous operation on green energy, supplemented by grid energy. Such an innovative approach aligns with Uzbekistan’s sustainable development goals and sets a new standard for future data center projects in the region.

The development of this digital infrastructure will enhance Uzbekistan’s attractiveness for international investments and leading IT companies. The project will foster innovation and support the growth of startups within the country’s evolving tech ecosystem, leveraging resources from IT Park.

In line with sustainable development goals, the project will actively utilize renewable energy sources, ensuring long-term operational efficiency and resilience, allowing companies to operate with reliable power supply.

This initiative will strengthen Uzbekistan’s position as a global leader in technology and innovation, promoting collaboration and creating a solid foundation for future technological advancements in the region.
