Customs Service registers export contracts for US$11bn
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan summed up the first results of introduction of mechanism on conducting export operation on one-stop-shop principle.

The committee said that as of 31 October 2012, customs posts recorded over 2,000 export agreements and over 900 additional agreements for about US$11 billion.

At the same time, representatives of interested ministries and departments at customs posts registered about 18,000 certificates.

As reported earlier, the Government of Uzbekistan adopted decision on creation of 14 customs post from 1 October 2011 as experiment on one-stop-shop principle.

From 1 April 2012, participants of foreign economic activity started to register export agreements in online regime. The registration term of certificates and permission documents decreased from 15 to three days, while customs registration fell from 10 days to one.

Besides, the entrepreneurs received opportunity to correct mistakes and shortages in documents directly from customs posts.
