Employees of the department on fighting smuggling of Ferghana State Customs Department prevented smuggling of 343 units of raw leather for 2 million soums to neighboring state. Citizen of Akbar N. attempted to smuggle leather to neighboring state.

Another violation was recorded in the region. Citizen of Uzbekistan Salimjon M. tried to smuggle 127 units of raw leather to neighboring state. The cargo was seized and the violator will stand before court.

Similar violation was observed in Namangan region. Custom officers detained 556 units of leather with the cost of over 10 million soums. Illegal cargo was found ownerless.

Customs investigations are underway on these cases.
