During operation in Konimeh district of Navoi region, customs officers prevented illegal import of 1 tonnes of alcohol for 7 million soums. The smuggled alcohol was found at inpection of UAZ vehicle.

Sh. Karimov has been arrested during his attempt to sell smuggled alcohol in Samarkand region. He tried to sell 125 liters of alcohol and has not papers for product, which was smuggled from neighboring state.

Operations of underground shop on production of alcohol products were halted in Karakalpakstan Republic. In border area of Amudarya region, the customs officers seized 100 liters of alcohol, bottles, labels with excise stamps and facility for bottling prodyucts.

Currently, criminal cases on several articles of Criminal Code of Uzbekistan have been opened on these violations.
