The event was attended by specialist from over 40 countries of the world, management international tourism organizations, experts and others. Organization of the event in Uzbekistan is an evidence for peace, safety, political and economic stability in the country.

Uzbek leader in his speech noted that ancient and eternal young Samarkand with historic importance, architectural monuments and modern look attracts attention of tourists and guests. Uzbek people are proud to host such international event in Samrkand, which was listed as one of cities, which people should see in their lives.

It is worth to mention that wide-scale reforms in tourism sector and further improving its legal base helps to develop the sector, Uzbekistan is one of leading countries on number of historic and cultural monuments and part of them were included to UNESCO World Heritage List. During independence years, Uzbekistan improved tourism infrastructure in the country and training of skilled cadres, as well as service quality.

Uzbek leader underlined importance of international tourism and role of tourism in establishing economic tourism relations, organizing of interesting recreation and travels, familiarizing with history, culture and traditions of people. This, in its turn, helps to strengthen mutual understanding between people. Uzbek leader also outlined seven factors for development of tourism and its types. Islam Karimov said that it is necessary to promote Great Silk Road brand.

In its turn, Democratic Party of Uzbekistan Milliy Tiklanish believes that one of its important tasks is to help to further development of tourism. It is also necessary to introduce ICT technologies to provide services to people, improve train specialists, protect cultural heritage in the regions.

So, tourism is one of the spheres, which play key role in economy of the country.
