Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A criminal case has been initiated in Uzbekistan against Khudoyar Nuriddinov, known online as “Abu Walid.”
Born in 1994 in the Rishtan district of Fergana region, Khudoyar Nuriddinov migrated to the Russian Federation in 2016 as a labor migrant. There, he fell under the influence of international terrorist organizations’ ideology and subsequently moved to Idlib, Syria.
While in Syria, Nuriddinov engaged in propaganda activities that led to some Uzbek citizens being recruited into armed conflicts, resulting in their deaths.
Currently, Nuriddinov continues his illegal activities by using social media platforms, including YouTube, to disseminate extremist ideologies and calls for jihad. The content he shares is banned in Uzbekistan. Possession, viewing, or distribution of videos featuring him may result in criminal prosecution.
The State Security Service of Uzbekistan has charged Khudoyar Nuriddinov under several articles of the Criminal Code:
Article 155-2: Terrorist activities, including the use of firearms and travel to or within conflict zones.
Article 159: Infringement on the constitutional order of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Article 223: Illegal crossing of the state border or unauthorized entry into or exit from Uzbekistan.
Article 244-2: Creation, leadership, or participation in religious extremist, separatist, or fundamentalist organizations.
Khudoyar Nuriddinov is currently wanted, and the investigation is ongoing.
