Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A memorandum of cooperation was signed at the Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT) between IT Park Uzbekistan, WIUT, and the Culture and Art Development Foundation, marking the launch of the Creative Incubator project. This initiative aims to support young talents and stimulate the development of Uzbekistan’s creative economy.
The launch of the Creative Incubator is directly linked to the recently adopted "Creative Economy Law" (on 3 October 2024), which established the legal framework for the sector’s growth and set an ambitious goal of increasing the creative economy’s share of the country’s GDP to 5% by 2030.
The Creative Incubator will bring together educational institutions, cultural organizations, and technology companies, creating a favorable environment for innovation and the development of creative industries. The project will offer support to young professionals and entrepreneurs, helping them bring their creative ideas to life.
The signing of the memorandum marks a new phase in the development of intersectoral cooperation in Uzbekistan, showcasing the synergy between educational, cultural, and technological initiatives aimed at the growth and prosperity of the creative economy.
