Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 29 November 2024, the Uchtepa District Court for Criminal Cases heard a case related to the death of the famous vlogger Farhod Mannopov (Mittivine).
The defendants in the case were an otorhinolaryngologist and an anesthesiologist-resuscitator from the private Tashkent clinic, Star Med Center.
As a reminder, 27-year-old Farhod Mannopov hit his head on the edge of a swimming pool. He visited the clinic, where he underwent surgery. However, after anesthesia was administered, the patient fell into a coma from which he never regained consciousness.
According to the Supreme Court’s information, the defendants were acquitted under Article 117 of the Criminal Code (leaving in danger).
At the same time, they were found guilty of improper performance of their professional duties (Article 116 of the Criminal Code).
The first defendant received a sentence of five years of restricted freedom, along with a two-year ban on practicing medicine.
The second defendant was sentenced to 3.5 years of restricted freedom, also with a two-year ban on working as an anesthesiologist-resuscitator.
