"A regular meeting of the Council of the heads of the SCO governments will take place early November in Tashkent," Kazakh Industry and Trade Minister Galym Orazbakov told at today’s session of the foreign economic activities and foreign trade ministers of the SCO member states.
The parties will deal with the preparations for the regular meeting of the Council of SCO Premiers, implementation of pilot projects, and a SCO multilateral economic cooperation programme.
The commodity turnover of Kazakhstan with the SCO member countries for January-August 2007 hit US$18 billion growing by 52% against the same period of 2006.
As stated there, it is necessary to vitalize development of the transit and transport and logistic systems of the SCO members that will create additional conditions to ensure movement of goods between the states.
The Minister stressed a need to bolster formation of the SCO Development Fund to set up a mechanism for funding urgent projects, including the socially significant ones, Kazinform reported.
