Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During the 11th summit of the Turkic States Organization (TSO) in Bishkek, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed to establish the Council of Central (National) Banks of the member countries.
The document was signed by the heads of the central banks of the participating countries: Melis Turgunbaev (National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic), Taleh Kazimov (Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan), Timur Suleimenov (National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan), Fatih Karahan (Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey), and Mamarizo Nurmuratov (Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan).
The purpose of establishing the Council of Central Banks is to enhance cooperation between the banks, conduct joint consultations and research to exchange experience in areas such as monetary policy, financial stability, development of payment systems, financial technologies, and other important fields.
