Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Palestine Javad Mohammed Awad.

At the beginning of the meeting, Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov informed about reforms, changes and plans for the future in the development of higher education, science and innovation. In turn, Ambassador Javad Mohammed Awad spoke about the scope of opportunities for developing cooperation between the two countries in the field of education and science and the need for effective use of these opportunities.

The parties exchanged views on future cooperation, in particular, organizing a visit to Uzbekistan by the President of the Association of Universities of the Mediterranean States, Vice-President of the An-Naja National University for International Cooperation Khairy Rassas and establishing cooperation between the universities of the two countries.

The Ambassador expressed support for the exchange of students and teachers in the field of Arabic studies and noted that he was ready to expand cooperation in this direction. In turn, the minister invited representatives of the educational and scientific community of Algeria to the week of innovative ideas "Innoweek.uz", which is held annually in our country.

The Ambassador also invited the Minister to visit the State of Palestine to discuss the above issues.

At the end of the meeting, Javad Mohammed Awad highly appreciated the scale of opportunities to be realized in cooperation with Uzbekistan, and noted the readiness to work in cooperation in these areas.
