Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Korea held a meeting with the head of the Travelers Club Library in Incheon, chairman of the Sopung Tour travel company Kim Kwang Sung, Dunyo news agency reported.
Travelers Club Library was established in 2013 to increase interest in overseas travel among the Korean population. The club currently has about 1.2 thousand permanent members. This library is the first and only institution of its kind in South Korea, where visitors can get acquainted with regional information, literature, culture and traditions of all countries of the world. There is a separate corner dedicated to the "Great Silk Road", including Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the South Korean side received national souvenirs, brochures and other materials about tourist attractions in Uzbekistan, which were included in the library fund for permanent use of visitors.
As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached on jointly holding, as the epidemiological situation softens, a festival of culture of Uzbekistan in the "Library of the Travelers Club" with the organization of a presentation of art (traditional music and dance) and national cuisine, as well as photo and video materials about the country's tourist attractions.
It is expected that interaction in this direction will serve to further popularize the tourism brand of Uzbekistan among the population of South Korea.
