Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 1 November, First Deputy Head of the Main Department of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of Tashkent city Sanjar Tajiyev, together with a representative of the city branch of the CCI and other employees of the department, met with a delegation from Turkestan region (Republic of Kazakhstan).
The head of the tourism department of the Turkestan region, Gulmira Akhberdieva, highly appreciated the pace of development of the tourism industry in Uzbekistan and expressed interest in studying our experience. Noting the growth of the tourist flow taking place against the background of the development of the infrastructure of pilgrimage tourism in Turkestan, G. Akhberdiyeva expressed hope for further cooperation between Tashkent and the Turkestan region in the areas of increasing mutual tourist flow and exchange of experience.
In response, Sanjar Tajiyev said: in our country, on the initiative and with the support of the head of state, comprehensive measures are being consistently implemented to develop tourism as one of the strategic sectors of the national economy, ensuring its diversification and improving investment attractiveness, stimulating the accelerated development of regions, creating new jobs, increasing income and quality of life of the population. In addition, the liberalization of the visa regime, the simplification of the registration of foreign citizens, the provision of benefits and preferences for the development of the tourism industry create favorable conditions for the effective promotion of the national tourism potential in the domestic and foreign markets. He supported the initiative and proposals of the guests from Kazakhstan and said that the Main Department is ready to provide all possible assistance in achieving the goals set by the guests.
In turn, Asiya Temirbayeva, head of the Department for the Coordination of Employment and Social Programs of Turkestan Region, said: special attention is paid in the region to improving the welfare of the population, and the administration needs to study the experience of our country in such areas as the development of small and medium-sized businesses, family entrepreneurship and home production.
Tajiev expressed his readiness to assist in organizing a meeting with representatives of the Department of Employment and Labor Relations of Tashkent within the framework of the current visit of the delegation.
At the same time, S. Tadjiev invited guests to the Tashkent International Tourism Fair, which will be held from 30 November to 2 December this year.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to establish and systematically develop mutual partnerships between the regions.
