Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 18 June, as part of the visit of the delegation of Uzbekistan to the Conference on the interaction of civil aviation working groups of Central Asia and China (C5+1) in the city of Xi’an, a bilateral meeting was held between the delegation of the State Unitary Enterprise Center “Uzaeronavigation” and the Management Bureau China Air Traffic Management (ATMB).

The Air Traffic Management Bureau (ATMB) is a government agency under the Civil Aviation Administration of China that provides air traffic control, communications, navigation, surveillance (CNS), aviation meteorology and aeronautical information services for all civil flights in Chinese airspace.

During the negotiations, representatives of the Uzbek air navigation services provider proposed a number of initiatives for cooperation in the field of optimizing the air traffic route network within the framework of the international “One Belt, One Road” initiative.

They also discussed opportunities for cooperation in personnel training, exchange of experience in air traffic control, radio technical flight support and flight safety management.

The Chinese delegation welcomed the proposed initiatives and expressed interest in close cooperation not only in the areas discussed, but also in the areas of engineering and cultural and sports interaction.

The parties agreed to continue coordination on these issues at the expert level.
