Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Tourism Committee held another cooperative meeting with specialists from the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) in Uzbekistan.

The German side provided information about projects being implemented in the development of the tourism industry in the country.

According to the international organization, master plans for Kitab and Shakhrisabz districts of Kashkadarya region have been developed in 2023, which will contribute to the development of infrastructure and entrepreneurship in the tourism sector.

During the meeting, issues on the development of combined tours and tourist routes between Uzbekistan and neighboring countries were also discussed.

Both parties also agreed to cooperate in developing a unified tourism information platform to create favorable conditions for foreign and local tourists. It also provides for the promotion of the tourism potential of the country’s regions and the provision of services necessary for guests during trips.

In addition, in order to train professional personnel in the field of tourism, it has been proposed to create a special training program for colleges in this area.
